Last year the event was wonderful. I enjoyed the hands on craft and there were many beautiful things to see. I would love to see more live performances and maybe some Turkish regional performances. Here are some ideas: A womens booth or tent showing how pita, breads etc are rolled, while sitting low on round tables, maybe someone doing tile paintings, small Caligraphy writing etc, Scarf and table crochet. I would also love to see someone serving icecream to the children the "Turkish way". What about hot corn, fresh peanuts and someone walking around selling fresh Simit. Every region in Turkey is famous for diffent things and I believe Daley Plaza could be transformed into "Little Turkey" for 3 days. Also we would love to know more about the sponsors of your event, possible having a booth with thier Reps. for us to interact with. When I visited Turkey I fell in love with the people and the Culture. It would be amazing for Americans to have a taste of tradion real culture. Best wishes Banu

I love this festival and appreciate the Saturday time for people that can't make it during the week! I hope however that the folk dancing will be changed up a little this year. There are so many different dances that make up the fabric of Turkey, expand the repertoire! I also think (and this may not be something you can change) that the costuming that the dancers wear should reflect a more traditional look, not the tight purple revealing get-ups the girls wore last year. What was that?
Kudos on a great festival and I can't wait until September.

This is a very well organized event. I can't wait to see and experience this year's Taste of Turkey. :) Just a suggestion: Bring your co-workers with you. It is hard to explain, they need to experience it. You see all things Turkish in a short period of time, as short as your lunch break. Nur :)
